Pleasant, pleasant, pleasant. I've had many failed experiences over the past 2 months, trying to get my daughter in to take a road test. The Cary location said I had to make an appointment, and the soonest was May 7th... And it was the middle of February! I had since driven around to other locations, but they all had several hours waiting time. A client of mine told me to try the Carrboro location... And it was wonderful! In and out only after a 45 minute wait. The staff was also pleasant. I never leave reviews, but this location earned this one.

Had a really great experience here. Last time I renewed my license at a different location was a horrible experience. But this DMV office is great! The lady who helped me was very nice. I was in and out fast.

I am mostly writing this review because of the employee who helped us. Agent Mount was incredible! My husband and I arrived at 7 am so that he could get his very first NC license (he is from Mexico). They let me go up to the window with him and help translate. Ms. Mount was extremely patient with him because he got nervous doing his sign test in English. She helped him set up the written test in Spanish and then took him out to do a driving test (I couldn't go) and he said she was very clear with him so that he could understand the instructions in English. She was so friendly to us and we appreciated it a lot! She was also very nice to a girl who failed her permit test; she calmed her down and helped her understand the wrong answers she got. I was very impressed with her customer service :)

Ok obviously no one LIKES going to the DMV. It usually ranks right up with going to the dentist. That being said, I was blown away by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff at this location. I came in over my lunch break and the place was packed. Even so, I barely had to wait 15 minutes to be seen. The woman at the front desk was so sweet and chatted with me while I waited. When it came time to take the test for my new license, the woman who helped me did an amazing job of explaining everything to me. They made what could have been an unpleasant trip actually quite enjoyable.

Terrible office.. been here for over an hour and only one station .. why only open from 9 to 5 . Needs to stay open until 8pm and on weekends. Also need more people working
