Either North of the Border doesn't keep up with their neighboring bike shops -- in what they serve --- OR North of the Border doesn't care to help customers who are not in the market what North of the Border services.   My situation been about (need of) servicing high end road bike componentry I told NotB that I know they be of atb. But relied on NotB for any closeby referrals of such. I knew there had to be more bike shops within the Sorrento Valley area. All that was replied, to me, was about the Performance Bike Shop.  But at some later time, I found of Cycle Quest on Roselle St --- even closer to the Coaster Station than North of the Border.

Doug and crew are the real deal. They know mountain bikes, treat every customer with respect, and invest in the local riding community.  Just got back from a North of the Border Saturday shop ride. Great vibe.
