I'm not going to disagree with what others have said regarding the front office staff. Their attitude has definitely seemed sub par on multiple occasions but the doctors and nurses at Northshore Pediatrics are very good. I wish my own medical care was half this good. The nurses are great with kids and put my little nervous guys at ease. Dr Seman is our primary and he is great with kids, has been a wealth of knowledge, and keeps up on the latest research. Due to an emergency fall this year we saw Dr Goodman for the first time. What a kind, caring pediatrician! He saved my little one from a scarey trip to the ER, taught me a little about facial injuries, and called to check up on my little one (and probably me) since it definitely looked worse the second day. We are very thankful the Northshore Pediatrics has supplied such excellent medical care to our family.

First of all, let me acknowledge that Dr. Dufresne and Dr. Seman are two of the best doctors I've encountered; my kids absolutely love them. They connect with the kids. If this review were strictly about Drs. Dufresne and Seman I'd give them 15 stars - that's how good they are. But my review is based on the practice as a whole - and there's much to be desired. This morning (Saturday) I called the office's answering service to address an issue my daughter was having. I was told a nurse would contact me within 15 minutes.....30 minutes later I called back and was told they hadn't received a call. After another 30 minutes I called back and was rudely informed that they had my information and a nurse would call back once they had time to get to my issue (no embellishment - that was the language used). Were this the first time encountering this service I probably wouldn't resort to writing a review. I'll freely admit that I'm upset with the level of service I received this morning, but this isn't the first time this answering service/office has done this. When you have a medical issue outside of normal office hours, you want the peace of mind of knowing that you (and more importantly your children) will receive the best care possible - from the answering service to the nurse to the doctor. Calling the answering service awful is being kind - the lack of care and sense of urgency is appallingly frustrating. Should you have a medical issue I would advise that you see a doctor and steer clear of the nurse practitioners. While they are generally ok, they have misdiagnosed my daughter several times on different occasions, resulting in additional office visits/expense and illnesses progressing that otherwise wouldn't had they been properly diagnosed on the initial visit. After my frustrating experience with North Shore Ped's answering service this morning, I've finally had enough. As good as Drs. Dufresne and Seman are, they alone cannot compensate for the many shortcomings of their office. I will seek medical treatment options for my family that are decidedly more family oriented. Again, should you decide to see Drs. Dufresne and Seman you won't be disappointed. But buyer beware, should you require anything beyond their expertise or availability prepare to be severely disappointed and frustrated.

Have always been very happy w/ nurses and doctors but the front desk and people who answer the phones are really in need of some customer service training. Part of their job is to greet patients - They often don't even look up at you when you arrive and don't even get a half smile out of them. Same issue with those who answer the phone and ar downright rude at times. When they were in a different location this wasn't so obvious maybe because there were less staff and its the newer people. I know other parents in the practice who feel the same way. I know there job may not be the most exciting but in this economy we should all take our jobs more seriously.
