Called for a free estimate was told no obligation or charge.  Tech  shows up rings door bell as I open the door he pulls my front door open out of my hands as I fell out onto my front steps ! He then begins by stating 'I'm here to put in 4 lights'. I said excuse me your here to give me a free estimate not do work I never agreed to anything ? He says then" I have to charge you 175.00 for a service call"  then pulls out a sheet he had hidden UNDER his clipboard with an  invoice I never agreed to or sighed with the inflated  price .  So the tech then says or" I can do the job or you pay 175.00"  The operator told me when I called on the phone " I can only give ballpark prices thats what the free estimate is for "  I asked her more then once this free no charge correct  "yup" . Reporting to BBB  .Do not ever ask for a free estimate you wont get one . They have one operator tell you its free when you call then another calls your house after the inflated price and says "you must have spoken to someone else"

I worked with Northern Lights Electric on a few projects around my house: replacing eyeball recessed lights with actually recessed lights, installing a bathroom vent fan and light, installing a new circuit panel (the original panel was overloaded), and a couple other smaller projects. They arrived promptly to ensure they could get all of the work done in one day. The team was very friendly and professional. I was working from home, so they would give me a heads up whenever they had to shut off power to ensure that anything I was working on wouldn’t be lost. The team was also great about being flexible when it came to setting the appointment. My schedule is crazy and so is theirs (they’re in high demand because they’re great!), and it’s tough to reach me by phone, so we coordinated most everything via email, which was very convenient.  The overall experience was great from beginning to end. The work looks great and I am so happy to have these updates in place. I’ve also worked with them on previous projects and had an equally positive experience, so I can confirm that the quality of work and their professionalism is consistent. I will definitely be using them again. I would recommend them to anyone!

Got to give 5 stars today. I had an appointment for 7am this morning. We just got 2 feet of snow. The electricians were early,neat,friendly and shoveled my walkway and half the driveway. This is the second time I've used them and so far so good. The prices are competitive and all the work has been great. I have had 8 recessed lights installed,various outlets and switches replaced,exterior lighting installed and new service completed by these guys. Great experience, i will continue to use them for all of my electrical needs.

Norther Lights Electric arrived on time, in fact called to say they might be a little early and was that okay? They arrived and got right to the work. They installed wires on the roof and did it quickly and neatly. We needed more wire than we had pre-paid for through Angie's list (which we expected) and the extra fee for more wire was minimal and was no problem. The came prepared with whatever they needed just in case they ran into any problems. They installed plug boxes for out side as well and were done early. Now we don't have to worry about ice dams next year. I would hire them again for any Electrical job needed. Scheduling was easy and the people in the office are friendly and make it a pleasure to call. Great customer service all around!

I needed to install wires and vent for my dryer. My friend recommended me Northern Lights Electric. I am very happy to have JT to come over to do the work. He is very professional, affordable, and knowledgeable. I've had excellent experiences with Northern Lights Electric and will definitely continue to use them with all of my electric needs. I will also recommend them to my friends.
