Welcome to Northern Lights Recreation - Northern Michigan’s PREMIER Entertainment Center. We are where Adults Bring Friends and Family for FUN!!! Whether it's Bowling, Laser Tag, Billiards, Redemption Arcade or Dining,WE have it all!

Stop in at The Sassy Loon Bar and Grill at Northern Lights Recreation. Here, you'll find our full service, 150 seat restaurant serving lunch and dinner daily, beginning at 11:00 am. We're a great restaurant which just happens to have a bowling alley! The Sassy Loon Bar and Grill was recently nominated "Best Casual Restaurant", "Best Overall Restaurant" AND "Best Bar" and more by the Petoskey News Review 2014, 2015 and 2016 and 2017! This is the greatest place in northern mi. Truly a place where they treat you like family only better!  There are so many things for the kids to enjoy  while dinning and having a good time.  And the people there are always kind and helpful and ready to meet your needs. 
I recommend this company to all families for a clean safe place to go.

I was at this business about a year ago. My family enjoyed all that they had to offer, although it is very pricey compared to other bowling alleys in the area. Last night I was looking into planning my sons birthday party but wanted to look at the reviews since I hadn't been there in a while. To be honest, I'm kind of embarrassed for this company. 1. I thought it was really odd that you can't leave or read reviews on facebook. That kind of told me something was off, that's when I came to google. 2. I  studied public relations, and I can tell you that arguing with customers who have the right of free speech, makes your business and the people who run it look immature, petty, and rude - no matter whether you meant for that to happen or not. Everyone has a right to tell their experiences and to share them, no matter how amazing or rude, that's why places like google have spots for a review - to share with others. You are not a teenage girl fighting with someone on facebook, you are a business owner.

I had a friend in town from out of state. We were out drinking and having fun when we decided we wanted to play some pool. I dont remember what time it was but it was within probably 30-40 minutes of closing time. There was literally not another patron in the establishment and I wouldnt had been surprised if they were closed early, but they weren’t. We were greeted with nothing but respect and appreciation, rather than annoyance for being there near closing time. The kitchen was closed, they opened it back up to make us fried pickles at our request, which was amazing. When closing time came around we were not rushed to leave. It was a great experience. Ashley and Cristin were extremely hospitable. Thank you ladies.

The manager, Crystal Patrick, is very nice and works hard to get things done. I always see her doing anything to help whoever needs it! I love the food!

We came for the band, but enjoyed a great meal, friendly staff, and great service.  I'd definitely come back next time we're in the area.
