Staff is extremely kind and so helpful! This place is a gem in Rochester. Large selection of cardio, yoga/stretching, and weight equipment for all. I love the group classes (especially cycling) offered daily by their excellent instructors. This place is locally owned and operated, and it really shows. Best customer service hands down. Highly recommend. They also recently added a massage therapist that works absolute magic. Wouldn't take my business anywhere else!

This is a great place to work out. They don't have every machine under the sun but they do have a lot. The staff is friendly and helpful too. Another really nice feature is that the place is big, so even when it is busy it doesn't feel crowded.

In my opinion its the best gym in town. I am really able to focus and work hard in the weight room. A lot of great people go here.

If you only want equipment to work out on and don't care about a clean environment or even your own hygiene, this is the place for you. I've seen everything from rust on the equipment to mold in the showers, cobwebs on the ceiling and walls, missing parts on the machines, and even an ant infestation in the changing room. The bathrooms are putrid, and the hot tubs look like a science experiment gone horribly wrong. I wore gloves when I worked out there, and I honestly tried not to touch my face or anything until I washed my hands thoroughly and put on hand sanitizing lotion. Even then I'd wash my hands at home the moment I walked in the door. Many of the people who work there are overweight dullards with little knowledge of how to handle any problems should they arise. One of the trainers is some kept woman who insists on parking in an area on the side where cars shouldn't be so she can show off her 'whips.' Since the prices are lower, you'll get a less than savory clientele who are rather inconsiderate, to say the least. Northgate blasts a radio in the weight room, despite the fact that *everyone* wears headphones. Spend the extra money and save yourself the anguish... and viruses.
