I started out here a member, years ago. I eventually became an owner and I couldn't be happier. I give this gym 5 stars because of the atmosphere and the sense of community that's provided by my members. I'll always go out of my way to continually add to Southside but I'd like to give my members the rating they deserve. For any incoming folks that are reading this, you'll notice once you walk through those doors that the atmosphere here is second to none.

I was stuck in the menotany of the LA Fitness and lifetime until I was referred to Southside Athletic. The atmosphere at this gym is second to none and it will make you achieve better results from your workouts. Not to mention the culture of this gym is great and if you need advice on how to execute a certain exercise, the staff has a wealth of knowledge to help you out!!! Your going to want to lift here if you want to perform better and become stronger!!!!

Great gym and incredible staff! It is evident by the community nature of this gym that the owners really care about their members. Equipment is consistently upgraded to meet the needs of lifters; and owners and members are always willing to help push you to the next level. To show commitment to community engagement, Southside also offers discounts to military members and local service officers, in addition to supporting and hosting a variety of charitable events. Competitive and non competitive lifters alike can feel comfortable in this friendly and supportive environment.

This is the gym for you!!! Whether you're looking for a place to lift and not be bothered or you want a sense of community. Southside is whatever you need it to be. The owners are the best of the best and this place has everything a lifter could want. Stop in and get a look around. Make sure you have a gym bag though because you won't want to leave!

I'm not the biggest guy here or certainly the strongest but I can tell you that I've gotten better, faster and stronger since working out here. This is a no nonsense gym that loves its members and keeps the community going. It may not look like much based on location but you'd be hard pressed to find a gym with this many encouraging people who work hard and train harder. Bonus points for the shouts of encouragement on PRs and crazy lift attempts.
