What a cluster f##k! Bought our tickets online with seat assignments and confirmation bar code by email for an up charge of $1.25 for each ticket. Arrived at 3:30 for an afternoon matinee at 3:40. The lobby was clear full of people backed up in a line from the box office to the popcorn stand and also from the popcorn stand to the box office with nobody knowing where to go and no employees to help. I finally found out where the movie was showing, and went in at 3:50 to find someone sitting in our seats. The movie was sold out. Went to find an usher to no avail. Stood in the popcorn line since there was no one else working. Got to the front of the line at 4:10 and asked for a manager. Luckily the manager was who I ended up with. He was very pleasant and told me he would stop the movie and kick the people out of our seats. I told him that wasn't acceptable since we had missed 45 minutes of the movie already. I asked him for a refund that he offered to give me in cash less the up charge for getting my tickets online. I said what were my other options. He said he would issue me tickets for another showing, so he printed me tickets for tomorrow which will be Wednesday with assigned seats again. He said he would get people out of our seats if necessary. I'll report back tomorrow how things go. Right now they have BIG problems with their assigned seating program.

If you plan on seeing a movie there show up 45 minutes early. They are now selling alcohol. If they had a cash register in the bar room this wouldn't be a problem, but the cashier has to close the cash register and walk into the bar to get the alcohol, leaving all the people looking for tickets and soft drinks waiting. Took forever to get a ticket.

Great, little theater on Hilton Head Island. I think it would be accurate to describe this theater as "indie." It has a few quirks and benefits -- which is kind of the hallmark of a good, locally run cinema. Here are some noteworthy things:

First, it's in a shopping plaza and not exactly well marked. If you didn't know where to look for it (thank you modern technology) you might not even know it was in the shopping center you were driving aimlessly around.

Second, sometimes there is no one manning the ticket booth. You have to walk in and then turn immediately around and go inside the ticket booth itself and operate the payment kiosk as self-service. Weird but whatever. You can get the tickets at the concession stand instead if you're going to be getting anything.

Third, speaking of concessions, you get unlimited drink and popcorn refills if you get the *large* size of them.

Fourth, I don't know about all of the screens, but #5 definitely had the recliner seats that are push-button controlled. Nice. Don't worry about the fabric tape holding the seat together. It still works just fine.

Older theater, but 10 cinemas with current movies!  Redeeming part is the seats - motorized recliners and so comfortable!  Don't fall asleep during the movie!

Best place to see a movie in Beaufort County! Spacious seating, reclining seats - no worries about someone kicking the back of your seat or head! Great prices for both matinee and regular priced movies. Refillable popcorn and drinks!
