This was my suburban Washington, D.C. high school in Hyattsville, Maryland, that has since been rebuilt and upgraded, leaving only the original large auditorium. 

The school had wonderful teachers and most of those who taught me have died.

Although I usually took the yellow school bus, it I missed it I could easily walk through charming University Park to get to Northwestern Senior High School, as it used to be called.

school is great cause i made friends with students and teachers also and played sport over there got a 4.0 GPA

NHS is a really good school, my 2 years experience there as an immigrant/international student was amazing especially my senior year. And its not all base on academics, extra curriculum activities, good organizations & clubs, sports & many more.There are wonderful teachers & counselors who ain't just focus on their assign jobs but involve with the students well-beings, safety & personal problems. I was really blown off when a student(my close friend) got sexually assaulted by another male student & lot of teachers were so into that case, wanting justice for her. The faculties also play a major role in the great upbringing of the kids, they're all doing a great parenting job. I'm so glad to be an alumni for such a great school. I'm a proud wildcat!(class of 2016).

The school is a gang territory, some of the teachers are horrible. I think I'm better here at Biloxi High in Mississippi than there at Northwestern High.
