Weird to say but I have been to this DMV 4 times since we moved to the U.S. and people are so nice :) yeah it takes a while but it is a.DMV you know what to expect. At least people are nice and human.

Can't get an appointment for a month and half, and took  over two days to even get a call back. So I'll go on my b-day. But good thing I won't have leave Novato.

First person (super rude) decides that he can't log into the system to look up my information. He passes it along to the person sitting next to him, and I explain that I have not received a license plate I applied for 9 months ago, with heaps of patience. She stares blankly at me, and asks me to repeat the story, which I do. She then gives me a form and asks me to write it down. When I asked her why I need to write down that I have not received a license plate, she said that we will not be able to work well together. Incredibly rude and disinterested service!

Didn't give me a number until I had filled out a new application form to renew my driver's license. After 45 minutes, I asked for an estimate of how much longer the wait would be, the clerk said "maybe an hour. there is no guarantee." Then the only man in the place said in a very loud voice,
"Its only an estimate, no guarantee!" Well, I wasn't speaking to him. He was being a jerk and trying to intimidate me for asking a question. I got the impression that I was being punished for not having an appointment. After an hour, I gave up and went home. I went on the DMV site to make an appointment and couldn't until June 26, (on June 8.) Maybe they need more staff and a better attitude. We are after all, paying their salary.
