I had never used a moving company before my husband and I moved out of our condo.  We did our research before hiring anyone, looking at reviews and pricing.  O'Brien's Moving & Storage had great reviews and had the most reasonable pricing.  We couldn't be more pleased that we went with O'Brien's.  They made moving as pleasant and stress-free of an experience as it possibly could be.  They worked efficiently, protected our furniture from being scratched, and were helpful in setting up furniture in our new home in the exact spot we wanted it in the room.

This was my worst moving experience ever.  I can write all the bad things others have written here; how several things were broken, how they did not move all of my things.  How, instead of taking drawers out of furniture and moving quickly, the movers spent more than an hour just trying to get my bureau upstairs.  But I think the thing that struck me the most is that the office doesn't care about any of this.  They did not listen - they only wanted extra money, because of course the movers ran over time.  (and honestly - I moved only 20 minutes away!) At least the movers, while unprofessional, were caring.  The office was not.

O'Brien's did a great job with our move. They were on time, professional, and a hard working group of guys. My wife and I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a local moving company.

O'Brien's is top notch moving company from start to finish. John the estimator is a great guy and really educates the client on how to maximize their packing and what they can do to save money. John was always available to answer questions or concerns and got back to you right away, 

Brett (The Driver) and his team are very friendly and professional group of guys that always have a smile and made you feel comfortable during a very stressful moving situation. Extremely efficient and represented Allied in the best possible way. Thank you guys for making a significant long distance move the best it could possibly be. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to use O'Brien's without hesitation. They were also the best price after receiving several other quotes. You can't ask for more.

The estimator told us that the mattresses would be wrapped and sealed in disposable wrappers and protected all the way to the destination. There was a separate and significant charge for the mattress wrapping service on the estimate, which gave us further impression that the crew would take great care packing them. Instead, the movers used reusable unsealed wrappers that were thrown around mattresses in a minute, unwrapped mattresses while still on the truck at the destination and dragged them through the hallways and stacked mattresses in the building hallway before finally brining them into the apartment. My advice - wrap and seal your mattresses yourself, don't rely on O'Brian's crew to do a good job there. Besides of this, a few furniture pieces got scratched during the move, leather couch was dragged through the building doorways unprotected. We will not use O'Brien's again.
