Delicious Irish food in a very nice restaurant atmosphere. I love eating here. I have come for a date, in a small group, or in a large group. O'Gara's is very generous in hosting Theology on Tap and Marker Monday (a fundraiser for our church school) I haven't eaten anything I didn't like, and the service is always good.
Additionally, my fiance and I hosted our rehearsal dinner hear. The staff was EXCELLENT at communication leading up to it, the food was delicious, and we really enjoyed our private dining area.

Great place.  Very unfortunate they are going to tear it down and build yet more condos just to put some money in the owners pockets.  It's a st Paul landmark.  Also I believe Charles Schulz (Charlie Brown/Peanuts) grew up in an apartment above it.   Lots of history,  It's a shame they can't preserve the place!

Not the best bar, so you'd wonder why I go to trivia there every week, but it suffices. The food is hit or miss but the beer is fine, especially lately since they've been changing up the taps. Service is also variable, but if you get Mary as your server she'll take good care of you. Heard they'll be tearing it down soon to make room for a big residential building, which makes sense given the stadium going in just down Snelling. Not sure when that will happen, but the plan is to open up a new, smaller version on the first floor of the new building, like they did with Nye's in Minneapolis.

I understand O'Gara's will be undergoing some renovation and will ultimately be changed into a restaurant at a smaller size and some other stores. My stay at the last visit was good. The occasion was a reunion. O'Gara's is is a nice place.

We went there for a quick dinner before a meeting one Friday evening. The atmosphere was pleasant and nice for a Friday night.  The food came fast. The food was enjoyable and tasted great. We mentioned that we were on a time constraint and they were very helpful and quick. We will definitely go back.
