My parents have talked about this restaurant for YEARS. I just made my first trip and it did not disappoint. I must say that I am not a seafood eater, but they do it up right. I had delicious fried flounder an my wife had shrimp. The hush puppies were to die for. There is apparently always a wait, but it is well worth it. We were seated very quickly in the lunch rush and received excellent service. Everyone seems happy to work there. We'll be back next time we're in town.

Great seafood place. Worth the wait to get in. This is one of those few restaurants where they have employees that have been there for 20+ years. I love the old school atmosphere. Fried shrimp was great and the best - and I mean THE BEST - hush puppies ever made in a seafood place. Skip the fries and get the sweet potato casserole instead. You will not be disappointed eating here. They make their own sauces and a good datil pepper sauce. Plenty of parking and that's saying a lot for a St Augustine restaurant. Wheelchair accessible but the restrooms will be a challenge. Can't wait to go back.

The most delicious shrimp you will ever eat. It was raining the day we went and it was worth getting wet to eat here! The food, the service & the quaint atmosphere was all terrific! You will not be disappointed in anything you have here. One of our favorites, it’s a must in St Augustine!

Great fried shrimp, very fine battered crust, light and let's the sweet flavor of the fresh shrimp shine through! The pink sauce was very nice as well! The green beans were like my grandmother's used to make. Also had the tomatoes zucchini and it was tasty too! Helen ate hers with the coleslaw and it was fresh, not too sweet and not too tart. Simple but very tasty food!

O'Steen's is my favorite restaurant all time. I have been eating there since they opened up in St. Augustine, my hometown. All their food is good, but they are known for their shrimp, which is out of this world. I know longer live in St. Augustine, but I try to eat there everytime I go home to visit family. I have referred hundreds to go there over the years. Try it, you'll love it!
