This review is strictly my opinion about the City of Oak Forest.

The City of Oak Forest has intentionally passed zoning laws to screw it's residents. 

The Zoning and Planning Commission is not doing what is in the best interest of its residents.  They are punishing residents because of their own incompetence and inability to enforce laws in the past. They are punishing people for being honest and by doing so they are breaking their own ordinances and are forcing people to destroy older homes, that were grandfathered in by this city, by forcing homeowners to bring the homes to code. The City is blaming home owners for not having permits, that the city lost, for work that was accomplished before they purchased the home. 

They also discriminate against some residents while allowing other residents to circumvent the rules. 

The City of Oak Forest and it's Officials have charged people thousands of dollars in extra taxes for multi family homes in single family zoned areas then they play stupid that they didn't realize the homes were multi family even though it shows on Zoning maps that the home was multi family.  

It has recently been brought to my attention that some of the City's electrical inspectors are to incompetent to know their own jobs and are not passing legal changes and then contact friends to charge residents to come and re-inspect the work done by other contractors.

I would recommend that anyone or any business looking to come to Oak Forest to do your homework before supporting this community in any way. 

I will again say that this is my personal opinion about the City Officials in Oak Forest and I have chosen to exercise my 1st amendment rights.
