We visit in late October to trek in the fall color so campground is closed bathrooms locked. Parking on shoulder of road is allowed so we walk from there for a sunny meadow & lovely oak grove. This year the wind was high which in no way effected the amazing views.

BEWARE: Worst camp host ever. He had his generator running all night yet had the nerve to tell everybody to be quiet or get out. Do not pay him the entrance fee, he will claim not having change to keep your change. He will be bothering you asking when are you leaving. You can not go above 5 mph and he speeds in the camground with the four wheeler. Worst camground ever, and I have been to a bunch of campgrounds, not going there again.

Open enough to enjoy your trip. Night sky is very beautiful.

We really enjoyed our trip there, even though it rained for most of it. The coyotes are quite loud at night tho! The scenery and the places to explore are great, although you need to drive a bit to another location for hiking (no accessible trails from the camp ground).

Nice campground great host can be a little warm in the summer not a lot of shade
