This place is awesome, The ladies on the children's side are super sweet and great, my son calls the one lady his "best friend" its so cute. She always helps him find exactly what he is looking for. She takes him around and shows him different books and really takes time out to make his trip fun.

I was trying to work on an online class at the Oak Ridge library. They required proof-of-residence (or pay a $45 fee) before being allowed to get a library card to use a computer. I was unable to watch the class videos due to the computer logging me out every 5 min due to inactivity (and couldn't disable setting). We are only permitted 2 hrs use per day. I printed a file for the class and had to ask the main desk to sign onto a second computer to confirm the print, go to the printer behind the main desk, and required exact change (10c/page single-side black&white only) before bring me the copy. 

I have been to Sparta, Cookeville, Livingston, Crossville, Nashville (main & 2 satellites), La Vergn, Murfreesboro, and Carthage and have  not seen such an overly complicated setup. The librarians were nice enough, but the management was making everything an issue. It is sad to think about how much tax money goes to a library that is trying to nickel&dime its patrons.

Five stars for the folks in the Children's section, zero stars otherwise.  It's easier to buy a gun from Walmart than check a book out of this library.

It's cold, there's a lot of books and audio, and guess what, they have librarians too. The power went out the one day I randomly visit. C'est la vie, que sera sera.
