I have had great experiences with the staff here, with exception for one nurse (I think her name was Beth). I currently see Ed Valenzuela and Jeanie Merrick (for women’s care) and It’s great to have a pcps who actually listen to the patient and make you feel comfortable enough to contact them when you aren’t feeling well. They have done a great job of getting me to see Ed, or if he is busy another physician, when I’m sick so that I don’t have to crowd the urgent care and I feel as though they generally care when assisting you. I highly recommend this facility, as I have had pretty great experiences here.

Had my first and last experience at Oak Street Medical today. Hmmmm. If I was dying with pneumonia and there were no others doctors in town, would I go back? I think I’d really have to be dying. If that sounds melodramatic, well, this is the first negative review I’ve ever written... So, hopefully it’ll help other potential patients find somewhere else where they’ll be treated with some humanity.

Dr. Steyer is great and I love that they have a lab onsite but one of the receptionists that takes calls is pretty darn rude and unhelpful.

PA Ed Valenzuela is a fantastic practitioner.  He listens and then provides me with complete information about my care.  I'm healthy and don't have any unusual issues but as I age it will become even more important to have a Doc that explains tests and procedures completely.  I highly recommend Ed and the staff at Oak Street Medical.

Dr Steyer is new to this clinic as am I. I found her to be very down to earth and she listened to my health concerns. One of the great things about this clinic is that they have a lab right on the premises that can do blood work that is ordered from outside their office. The process of one clinic communicating with another for proper signatures can be very trying. I was dependent on this office to follow through properly. It sounds like a small thing but it isn't when you're waiting for medication that comes with a long list of blood work that has to be done first. The staff were all kind, efficient and human. I have experienced many a robotic/incompetent medical assistant in the past. I felt like these women were all standing by my side in a very exasperating week that sent me back and forth to town unnecessarily. Big thumbs up here.
