Boy, oh boy, where do I even begin with this review? Let's just say that if you're looking for a new local favorite in the Sellwood area, this place is it! And the waiter with glasses, has to be an establishment favorite, am I right? He was more than just amazing, he was downright awesome! His customer service was off the charts, like an A+ and beyond! He was so friendly and professional and just radiated great energy! But let's get down to the nitty-gritty, the food. The burger was cooked to perfection, with a bun so soft you could probably use it as a pillow. As for the chicken club, it was good, but unfortunately the bacon was cooked too crispy as it had the crunch of a potato chip and the truffle fries were a bit overcooked as well. Hey, these things happen, but don't worry, it was still an enjoyable experience and meal. And next time, we'll just have to make sure to communicate that we don't want our food to be cooked as long. Overall, we'll definitely be back for more! Who knows, maybe the waiter will even remember us and give us an extra dose of that amazing energy!
my favorite go to!!! update: October 22, 2023 - they now serve breakfast on weekends only. it’s from 9am-2pm. definitely a worth while.Food: 5/5
Came in for a quick bite and a beer today during lunch rush There was a minor issue, but the waitstaff quickly fixed and resolved the issue and were amazingly friendly and considerate. Accidents inevitably happen and many places nowadays fail to seize the opportunity to make things right and WOW you....not here....the staff was awesome and made up for the issue with their friendliness and resolution. Top notch customer service, and food and beer were spectacular...i will be back.
Tried out their breakfast this weekend and it was fantastic! Pancake was light and flavorful, French toast was beautiful interspersed with seasonal berries, and the biscuits with mushroom gravy was delicious. Everyone got their favorite! Poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Definite value for the price. We've found a new breakfast place for sure. Kid-friendliness: Even though it's a brew pub, they are definitely kid friendly. Lots of menu items the kiddos love. They were very welcoming too.
We ordered the fish and chips and it was horrible! Based on the shape and flavor, we think they served us fish sticks. The coleslaw tasted like it was a week old.Food: 1/5
BREAKFAST!! A friend visits once a month and we go for a burger and a beer at OB, but this time we had breakfast and a beer. Soooo good!! I had the perfect breakfast sand, with two fried eggs and lots of bacon on the perfect English muffin. Mary had the chicken fried steak with gravy and there weren't any leftovers on either plate. Their breakfast potatoes are really good, but next time I will get their tots - because I love tots!! They serve breakfast until 2:00 on Sat and Sun - plenty of time to sleep in. I am already craving another breakfast sand!!
Yummy truffle fries, GnT, and beet salad +grilled chicken. I was very excited about the knife that came with the salad. Salad consumption can be cumbersome and hilariously awkward when trying to slam a bush into your face covered in drippy dressing.
Loved the burger! Huge salad to go along with it My friends liked their food too! Definitely a pub vibe!
Very nice selection of local beers, relaxed atmosphere, and good pub food that was very tasty.
The food, the service, and the outside patio is all 5 stars. It's a nice spot to cozy up and chat. Or watch the comedy open mic that happened here over the summer.
