I wanted to go this route instead of doing the traditional physical therapy when I was experiencing a lot of postpartum hip pain. The first appointment they really make it seem like they care so even after being fairly sore after my first appointment, I went back. The second appointment, I felt a little lost as they had multiple people they were helping at the same time so I was often left waiting and trying to flag someone down to find out what I needed to do next. BUT, I felt great afterwards. The best I had in a long time. The third appointment was the same, they were helping multiple people at once so I didn't have much direction. Then I was very briefly shown how to do a couple strengthening exercises and left alone again. I didn't have anyone to critique my form or answer questions. The next day I felt awful. I can't remember ever being in so much pain along my whole spine and back. I had a knot in my neck that was as hard as a rock and it was difficult to turn my head left at all and I could only turn it slightly to the right. Needless to say, my husband had to stay home from work the next couple days to help take care of the kids and myself. The knot and extremely limited range of motion in my neck lasted a week. A week of pain making it harder to function than when I originally came in. I decided to pursue physical therapy at TOSH. They sit with me as I do my exercises and make sure I have proper form. They were quick to figure out what my problems were and helped demonstrate what muscle groups needed strengthening. I only experience little muscle soreness after each new exercise is added but fast improvement and more body awareness. I still have a lot of neck pain, headaches, and stiffness from coming to Oasis (I only had a little before coming and it is much much worse now) and I'm sure that'll be next on my list to fix in physical therapy. Just wish these headaches would go away.
