Had a double spinal fusion on a Thursday, discharged on Monday. The nurses were great. Very caring and attentive/prompt. The room was big and clean and modern. I am deducting one star due to the medical doctors and anesthesiologists. The medical doctors were quick, quiet, and indifferent. 2 minutes in the room tops. The anesthesiologist went completely against my surgeons orders on the management of my pain, with no explanation why. I had an 8 and a half hour surgery and was given meds normally prescribed for a broken arm.

Had the worst experience ever!!! We actually left before seeing the Dr. The "nurse " Sharron was the nastiest person! I don't understand how you can be in the medical field with that type of attitude! It was almost like we were bothering her trying to explain my husbands symptoms. We told her we did not want any type of pain medication, we just wanted to find the cause of his back & leg pain (he also has a full body rash). She basically told us they were only going to give him maybe a steroid or maybe some benedryl and what did we think they were going to do for us? then proceeded to send us back to the waiting room. That is when we went back to the front desk to ask where we could file a complaint, 5 people on the desk & not one of them even opened their mouth to help us! We left and will never be back!!!

I arrived at the ER where service was good. I was admitted and sent to the 5th floor to wait for surgery which was done early the next morning. Service was good up until then. The next day I was informed I would be discharged. The Doctors arrived between 10 and 1030. They had me do blood work one last time and upon getting the results would be discharged. Results were in within a half hour. Here's where service gets a 0 the doctors two not one never left my prescription to take home. I have been waiting for 5 hours to get a doctor to write the prescription and was just told a general doctor in the hospital would be h ere in a half hour. So my complaint is that no one gets back to the nurse's. Doctors make u feel like your schedule do esn't matter and it doesn't we are at there mercy. A hospital filled with doctors and it takes five hours to get one to call back a nurse and hopefully show up. Meanwhile I'm sure my insurance company will be paying for another full day of service because two doctors were irresponsible and don't return calls. They feel they are to busy for or just don't care. They spent 2 minutes with me when they showed up this morning and then we're done with me. Doctors need a class on sensitivity and mutual respect for patients.

After 16 days of hospitilization for our father, I would love to thank the staff of 3 South for their care and professionalism. They tended to him always with a smile and a true sense of concern for his needs. A special thank you to Kamel for the great care and for the added kindness and support you gave him during his worst of times.
