Story

The historic Deer Lodge has been serving up the authentic Ojai experience and creating wonderful memories for local residents and visitors to Ojai California continuously for over eight decades. From its humble beginnings as a gas station and grocery store in 1932, to today’s iconic restaurant, bar and live music venue, the Deer Lodge has always been a warm, welcoming refuge for locals and tourists alike.
Today, the Deer Lodge retains that rich flavor of a lost era while evolving to satisfy the tastes of today’s diner and entertainment seeker. We pride ourselves on casual, yet attentive service, offering the highest quality product available.
Our Farm to Table menu highlights the bounty of delicious produce that the Ojai Valley is famous for. We work closely with local farmers to bring the best quality of seasonal fruits and veggies from their farms to your plates.
Our bar offers 20 rotating tap handles of the finest craft beer from the west coast. Our wine list features the finest California wines, focusing primarily on the Santa Ynez region. We offer a plethora of spirits ranging from locally distilled craft spirits to the finest imports.
By night, the Deer Lodge transitions into an eclectic live music venue showcasing the best of the Ojai Valley’s vast pool of local talent and occasional national acts.
