I was just at the Olathe Office to renew my drivers license.  The people working at the front desk were friendly and very helpful.  The woman at window 10 who renewed my licence was incredibly put out and unfriendly.  There is no cause for that type of behavior.  She didn't speak up when addressing me and was difficult to hear.  She had to take my photo twice because I didn't hear what she said the first time, her eye roll was totally uncalled for.  Why is this attitude tolerated at this office?

Normally I wouldn't rate a DMV. I saw some negative reviews and wanted to point out that I have had a completely different experience. I have been there twice. My wife and daughter have both been there. Everyone was nice. Our trips were efficient. The electronic get in line system is totally fantastic. Once my app notified me, I left my office, sat in their chair for maybe 5 minutes, and was out of there in 10 to 15 minutes tops. I don't see how it could get a whole lot better.

Longest waiting time. I got my license 6 weeks ago from this office. I need to change it to federal ID. They won't use the license issued by their office 6 weeks ago as proof of address. Need to get more information and proof. Passport is not enough either. So if you need to get a job done be prepared to spend several hours at the office. Average waiting time is 1.5 hours

Long lines, rude people, and the QLess line system never works. For 3 weeks whenever I tried to check in online I got a text back saying they were closed and to try the next day. When I finally went into this location to physically check in and let them know about the issue the extremely rude woman who begrudgingly checked me in insisted that what I had experienced had never actually happened. Even when I showed her the texts on my phone she insisted I was wrong, but could not give a reason why. They clearly hire the lowest common denominator. Upon check-in I was told there were 31 people in front of me. 3 hours later I had counted over 200 people called before me. Finally, when my number was called I handed over all of my documentation only to be told that a birth certificate is not acceptable as a birth certificate. You read that right. She told me a birth certificate is not an acceptable document when a birth certificate is required. These people are morons.

Poor service pre checkin gets you nothing.
No wonder teenagers taking test for permit are stressed. Not one computer in use and over a 2 hour wait. Got to be a better way.
