The food at Old Carolina Barbecue is excellent and the staff is friendly. The problem is that it takes a LONG TIME to get your food. I stopped in today, ordered the Texas with applesauce and a side salad. I was the only person in the place! The cook appeared frazzled, I thought there was a large order ahead of me. I asked the cashier if I should come back if this was going to take a while...I was told the order in front the of me was the two sandwiches to go and it would not be long. 22 minutes later, my food was ready EXCEPT the salad -- we were now waiting on croutons. This is too long to wait, in my opinion. The food is really good but I will call ahead from now on or I will go elsewhere.

Went here for lunch with my friend and got the pork sandwich and garlic mashed potatoes. Yumm! It was only missing a slice of butter on the mashed potatoes:) Service was excellent, as I've never been here before and the man at the register explained the menu very thoroughly. Pepsi products, sauce station (I got the honey mustard and the sweet and tangy sauces). I would go here again for sure!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. My daughter and I stopped in for dinner tonight. We ordered pulled pork and brisket and macaroni and baked beans. When the food was finally delivered(only my daughter's meal as mine was somehow forgotten), It was ALL cold. Mentioned this to the waitstaff, and was told it would be remade for us. After waiting 40 MINUTES for our food and still not receiving it, I finally had to go up to the register to ask for our meals to be packed up. Their excuse?? Their steam table wasn't working. And yet you continue to serve under-heated food to your customers? I am sure the health department would love to hear that.

absolutely loved the food. First time here in Ohio. Food was delicious. 10/10 would eat again
