The Old Courthouse Museum used to be one of my favorite places to bring my kids. There were so many fun, kid-engaging exhibits (a combine to play and learn about agriculture in, a hot air balloon basket with coloring activity, a doghouse and children's books...to name a few). The last few years, exhibits have been more historical in nature - much less hands on and kid friendly. Today, there was only 1 exhibit that the kids enjoyed...the tipis. Otherwise, there is far too much reading for young ones!

It's FREE !!! My favorite price !!! Great for younger kids or old folks with nothing but time on their hands. The exhibits need to be changed more often, but what should I expect for FREE ??? The building itself is historic and full of charm. Like my reviews.🏛🏛🗿🗿

They have some new exhibits that are well done. A large ww1 exhibit that would be great especially for some boys that like guns and GI Joe's. My girls really like the Native American exhibit. They also have a neat movie theater exhibit upstairs that's new. It has a timeline of all the theaters that have every been in sioux falls going back to the 1880s. My kids liked making sound effects for the black and white like 1920s movie that plays as part of the exhibit

It was more of a side note, rather than a museum or a court house. This place doesnt feel complete. No stories of law being practiced, local judges. The museum aspect has very little appeal with its small crammed displays. It almost feels like they put something in the building to save it from being demolished. I think they might have something special if it could be polished or refined.

Was there for a birthday party but was allowed to view exhibits and enjoyed the historical nature of the building. Very nice
