We went here with mixed feelings after reading good and bad reviews (bad mostly due to poor service) and had a backup plan if we chose to leave.  We were greeted and seated immediately and we ordered the Seafood Platter "Old Fish House Feast" for two which included 4 sides.  Our "corn fritters (home made)" and lemonade were brought in about 2 minutes and our order was delivered within 15 minutes by one of the cooks.  Turns out the cooks are husband and wife who've owned the restaurant for 7 years; from Switzerland (him) and Germany (her) and the waitress is a daughter.  We had a short, pleasant conversation before eating.  The food was excellent and more than we could eat so we took at least half of it back to our condo.  The waitress returned to our table 3 or 4 times asking if everything was fine and if we needed anything else.  Great dinner!  The waitress might be a bit on the quiet side but is very efficient and does a great job!  We gladly recommend this restaurant.

What a neat place!!! Food is great and service terrific! Adult beverages were also amazing! Well worth the drive!

This was a fantastic restaurant. The waitress was very friendly. It's a hole in the wall but the food is amazing. There was nothing on my plate that I didn't enjoy. It's affordable, has great food, and is family friendly! I definitely reccomend this restaurant!

After reading some of the 1-star and 2-star reviews, I felt compelled to write a review myself.  I can honestly say that I don't see how they even ate in the same restaurant as my son and I ate.  Our service was friendly and patient (we're from Kansas), with the perfect amount of attentiveness.  Our food was all delicious.  I had a steak and my son, being more adventurous, had some fish we had to google to see what it looked like alive.  My son opted for the AYCE so he could try different types, expecting Captain D's sized portions.  Instead, he got the whole fish, minus the head, tail, bones, & guts.  One round was all he could eat, but he was raving about it even the next day.   We did sit by another family who got some crab legs that were not to their liking.  They were quickly brought their alternative and the cook, who is also the owner, personally came out to apologize and make sure the alternate selection was to their liking.  If I"m ever back in this part of the country, I will make it a point to eat here.

Good food, friendly service! My family had both fried and grilled fish as well as fried and boiled shrimp - it was all delicious! Only negative was a bit too much dressing on the Caesar salad (but it was a very tasty dressing!)
