What a beautiful place! The lodge is new and the location, especially for those who play golf, is spectacular. However, the actual hotel experience was not as grand as the scenery. At check-in the clerk did not smile or greet us but held out her hand stating, "I need your credit card in case the room is damaged.". I have travelled extensively and never damaged a room. Also, I was well groomed and well dressed so I am unsure what prompted this. The in house Starbucks couldn't seem to charge the same thing for the same exact drink two days in a row. The conference staff provided water glasses but...surprise, no water! (However, this snafu was quickly and apologetically corrected.). Overall, the experience was ok and, once the kinks are worked out this promises to be a destination for many wishing to getaway and be pampered. Incidentally, after that rather negative 1st encounter the remaining staff were wonderful!!! Definitely has 5 star potential.

Great new facility. Nice staff. Restaurant has a nice selection high to low. (Ahi tuna tacos were great.). Look forward to coming back.
