Would have been 4 stars except... All started great, friendly bartender, knowledge about the beer. He gave me a list of cocktails to choose from since I'm not a beer person. He also let me know that he could make me anything just to let him know. Nice atmosphere, friendly people sitting at bar. So here's the sad part - while sitting at the bar people watching my husband and I observed the one bartender eating the sliced fruit and licking her fingers afterwards. Not once but a couple times. Licking her fingers then grabbing another slice of fruit She also continued running her fingers through her hair and playing with it. All fine except for the fact she never washed her hands, ever!!! Then went into the kitchen to grab plates of food and deliver to a table. There were other workers around and not one said a word to her, like a friendly reminder to wash her hands. It really put a damper on the end of our day. Such a nice place, but yet my opinion ruined by one person. Otherwise- one of the best bloody marys I've ever had. Great idea of crumbled bacon around the rim of the glass. My husband enjoyed their beers also.
Great beer, good food served in large portions. Schwartz bier was great. Rueben was very good but too big to finish.
Good service, good beer. The location is awesome. The cold IPA is a standard new England. Loved it. Southbound is the strongest with the most complex flavor. I can't put my finger on all the different nuances. Dark territory is easily the darkest stout I've had. I mean ace of spades dark. Worth the trip.
Awesome experience! Great beer, service, and food! Will definitely be going back! Get the wings with OR Hot BBQ sauce!
Very pleased with the food. It was very unexpected to have such high quality cuisine at a brewery. I arrived expecting the traditional bar food and left humbled for sure. It was like dining at a five-star restaurant. Incredible. Try the tempura alligator and you’ll see what I mean!
The food is really good and the service. We had pumpkin seed crusted trout and BBQ chicken breast with asparagus and roasted sweet potatoes mash. Had the Cuban cocktail with coconut. Very bitter.
It used to be good but not going back for lunch anymore. You know it’s bad when you can’t even make a good chicken sandwich. It used to be awesome. Today it was disgusting, dark meat instead of a breast, the breading was terrible, and it had 0 flavor. My husband tasted it and said the same thing. Stick to just drinks here
An old favorite spot that spun out of control and since the claims of renovations and limited menu it’s been a slow decline. Ordered my usual burger with truffle fries bc that’s all they had basically for months but their was a new chef. Truffle fries sucked and the burger had so much weird sauce all over it. Always out of the beers I want. It’s unfortunate but I don’t think I will go back unless things change.
What an amazing experience! The menu was fresh, innovative and of the highest quality. Typically at breweries the food lacks or it's mediocre due to the attention being put on the beer. Not this place! The food and beer were of equal quality. Just go and give it a try. P.S. John was or server and he made the experience that much better!
Dined at the Old Rail today November 2, 22. very disappointed. The menu has changed since our previous visit and was much more limited in its offerings and the prices were significantly higher. We were not comfortable ordering a full meal and ordered the pork belly appetizer - the closest item to Burnt ends which are no longer on the menu, It was not busy maybe three or four tables, but the food took a long time to come out and one never got any whiffs of cooking aroma - was it pre-made and then just microwaved? The plate was presented two less than palm size pieces of pork belly with two overcooked grilled intertwined shrimp placed on top of the pork belly which was plated over a bed of corn-cold canned corn. Floating around this was a sauce with grilled peppers whose only flavor was that of burnt. The worse part was they charged $16.00 for this unappetizing appetizer!. This place has changed greatly since our previous visit and it was a disappointment.
