Good service, good food, not too crowded. Would give it 4.5 if I could--the food is maybe a dollar or two more expensive than I think it's worth-- but a good experience.

The wind is biting cold and I have forgotten my hat.  I hurry into the Olde Towne Cafe and am greeted with a warm room and once-bright colors.  A few regulars sit silently at the long bar and a TV at the far end displays the news. I take my seat and wait at the end of the bar for a few minutes, then eventually get up and walk towards the register. The owner turns from watching TV, starts at noticing me, apologizes, and starts right away in serving.  Bacon, eggs, and toast with a cup of coffee, $10.  The plates are cheap and faded, but serve well. The food is simple and slightly-burned, but filling.  The hosts are friendly, speaking briefly with customers and the owner of the pharmacy next door, whose store opens directly into the café.  I never get a refill on my coffee.  Eventually, I again get up to wave down the owner, and pay my tab.

2 stars since I can't rightfully give the café a rating of average quality.  The service was not present, the look is that is that of a run-down diner in a vacant town, the public bathroom is out of order.  But the service was friendly.  And the bar was clean and well-worn.  And the room was warm on that day with the cold wind when I forgot my hat.

This place is my favorite breakfast spot in Gaithersburg. Seriously. The couple that owns the place are super nice and the husband is an excellent cook. Just polished off my delicious scrambled eggs with cheese, crispy bacon, toast, and perfect home fries.

Oh and the meal comes up crazy quick.

Tiny, homey atmosphere with a breakfast dining bar and a couple tables for those who prefer it.

Love Olde Towne Cafe, I hope they never close.

Great family type environment to have breakfast. My wife and myself enjoyed the food very much. If you are looking for some place warm and simple, I would definitely recommend this!
