Great park to visit . This place has a full day off fun and some more. If you like the trails . They have it. Both ways , cycling and running. If you like kayaking or rowing a boat you are at a great spot . Benches , gazebos and bathrooms are available. If you want to enjoy the beach and shower after you got it. Clean secured place for the family or just me ;) you can bring your own foods and use the BBQ grills for cooking and grilling your meal. You may also catch your meal because you are able to use the pear to cast your hooks in the water. If it rains you can grab a hut or gazebo to stay dry. You have fish birds and other things to look at while you visit. Truly a great place to visit for a relaxing day or a fun filled day all and all a great day..

I totally loved the time I spent there. However, I got there at 1:44 in the afternoon in a Saturday. The line for the kayak rental was huge and we waited there until 4pm because they didn't have have enough paddles that's something to be mindful of. If you want to go kayaking; buy your on paddles! Otherwise you are going to wait 2 hours or so. Also, they are a pretty big park for not to have a nurse. My boyfriend cut his foot and the only thing that was available was a first aid kit. Overall the staff was really nice and everything is well organized.

We visited Oleta on a whim, looking for a destination to ride our bikes. We ride to the park, avoided the huge car line for admission and enjoyed a casual stroll around the park. On the way, we grabbed some sandwiches at a local joint. In the park, we set up under a tree and enjoyed our lunch before spending some time overlooking passing kayaks on the canal. Tables were in high demand that afternoon. Either arrive early or bring a blanket and chairs to set up on the ground. There's a beach (which was quite crowded) so bring a suit and tie if you want to check it out. We didn't see anywhere to lock up bikes so we didn't go far from them. This also prevented is from really checking out the beach area. Overall, it's a great park in a bustling part of NDade. Grab your family and friends, make some food, head out there and enjoy the outdoors.

A beautiful hidden gem right off 163rd street. Park right at the first real lot at BG outfitters and rent a kayak, canoe or SUP... Or bring your own. So many choices for things to do here. There is a beach directly on Biscayne Bay or take a leisurely paddle board trip through the mangroves. If you want to get crazy, head out to the Sandbar or big sandspur island in the middle of the bay. Bring your dog - if he's good on a board and take him out on the water with you... But only if you know he's good in the water. Once you come back in, you can grab a bite from the local food truck or hit up one of the tasty restaurants across 163rd at the mall. It's a full day of fun.

Great family park. Park officials need to get alcohol consumption on the property under control. Also control traffic inside the park. 2 weekends ago i seen a truck go up onto the sidewalk because they didn't want to wait in line i guess and waited for pedestrians to go past him before going forward. Then another car followed suit and almost hit a man on a bicycle that was on the sidewalk. Maybe put up something like rails. I really love this park but i have noticed over the years lot's of things being given a blind eye. I will continue to go to this park because it's %100 better then the main beaches. You can go on trails, go swimming, go kayaking, go canoeing, have a picnic, have a BBQ, rent cabins, fishing, they also have kayak tours, they also have a small area for children with slides and swings.
