There was a long wait. I wish we would have known we could call ahead and put our name on the list little several other people had done that arrived after us. The chicken wings weren't that great. I also had the brisket, which was delightfully tender and falling apart. But it lacked in flavor. And the have a pretty minimal sauce selection. The standard honey BBQ sauce was runny and tangy. I wanted something a little smokier with a brown sugar note to compliment my brisket and it would be to notch BBQ.

They do not have hard liquor, only beer and wine, which was also a bummer to me. The service was quick. The duck fat fries were fresh, hot, and delicious.

I heard the grits, mac and cheese, and pulled pork were good from other members of my party.

An amazing hidden gem in the warehouse district of Duluth. A little off the beaten path, just a two mile walk from Canal Park. Amazing high quality smoked meats and great sides. I was surprised how great everything tasted from the smoked chicken, brisket to the slaw. The homemade sauces are also a real treat, loved the white sauce. Great attentive service, I highly recommended this place if your in Duluth.

I think it's always a great idea to try out platters or plates at places like this so you can taste a bit of everything and that's exactly what we did. My boyfriend and I shared an OMC Plate and an order of the Louisiana Catfish N’ Chips. We ordered the OMC Plate with collard greens and the roasted bacon & blue cheese potato salad. 

I don't know that I could pick a favorite item from the OMC Plate. Everything was perfectly cooked and juicy. The 1/4 chicken on that plate was HUGE and we really appreciated that. The potato salad is like a classic potato salad with a little twist. If you aren't a fan of blue cheese, you might still like it. It's not too pungent or overpowering. We really enjoyed it. The greens were great but not my favorite greens compared to other places I've been. 

The catfish was SO tender and flaky. It fell apart and melted in my mouth. The duck fat fries that came with it are some of the best fries I've ever had. The coleslaw is straight classic coleslaw just like your mother makes. 

The staff were delightful, too! We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely make this a "must" on our future trips to Duluth.

First time dining here, but I know we'll be back! The aroma of the smoked meat outside was enough to bring any doubters through the doors. A cider by Sociable and a Castle Danger cream ale started our meal, along with fried rinds and great sauces. I ordered and enjoyed the duck fried French fries with a salad and my husband ordered the 3 rib luncheon special. Both of us were very satisfied with the tasty food.

This place has great BBQ. It was packed when we got there at 1 pm, but the wait was only about 15 minutes. We were seated and our server brought out a plate of pork rinds to sample all of their sauces with. We settled on a couple of specialty sandwiches, the zipadeedooda (pulled pork) and the haystack brisket. Both were incredible. I'm not kidding, give this place a try. Good service and smells are just as delicious as the food.
