On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

Story

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made right at your table. Everything pairs nicely with a grande margarita, and of course, enjoy the always endless chips and salsa.

I had a super strange experience. I sat at the bar and was so confused because I could clearly hear two different songs playing. It didn’t take me long to realize that one of the men sitting at the bar had his own speaker sitting on the bar and was playing his own music. Why wasn't he asked to not do that? It was incredibly loud and obnoxious. The service was mediocre. Took quite a while to get water and chips and salsa after I sat down, and it continued to take a while to get refills even though the bar and restaurant seemed quite slow. Don’t get the tortilla soup. It’s so bland.

The staff were courteous and helpful...i found the bartender to be very cordial and true to the bartender creed she was more of a listener than a talker but truly engaging. Silverware seemed clean and they wiped off our table before we sat down...i had no idea they gave such large portions so i needed a to go box. Maybe a tad pricey but for the portions it could be reasonable..1 entree with appetizer and drink will easily be 20 bucks and be sure to add a tip the staff will have earned it. Cant vouch for the restrooms...maybe next time...

Wow, there is nothing like waiting at the to go counter while the attendant Rants and Raves about the previous two to go pick up customers not tipping enough. Apparently customers just don't know and understand how much the to go workers do... They have to stack all the food in the bag and check and make sure the proper contents are there and then they have to stand there and wait for the customer to show up and pick up the order. To go order workers should be tipped at least 20 to 25%. Boy it sounds like a hard life. Sure they're not out there on the floor with the actual servers taking and memorizing orders, carrying food and drinks back and forth, refilling drinks and taking care of multiple tables simultaneously and also being flagged down by tables ready to get their check while they're already in route to take care of another table but those to-go order workers have it really really hard. Apparently so hard they don't think twice in the little take out room about bitching and carrying on in front of other customers. But for the sake of the patrons at least this girl and her friend War not working the floor or back in the kitchen making food cuz I would hate to think of how she might take out her righteous indignation either with no observing eyes or in front of all eyes to see. Obviously the bussers, Cooks and servers should be tipping the to-go order workers to compensate for they're undo stress. Nice clientele they got representing the restaurant there as I sarcastically roll my eyes

Stopped in for lunch. Seated quickly and served chips and salsa right away. Salsa has a little kick. Ordered the lunch combo "pick two" with endless rice and beans. Had the ground beef enchilada and crispy chicken taco. Enchilada wasn't served very hot and the beef tasted a little off (bad). Chicken taco was very good. The bottom fell out because they sat it in the enchilada sauce and it became soggy. But scooped it up with a fork. Rice and beans were nothing to write home about. I saved room to try the sopapillas and I'm sure glad I did. You get two sopapillas covered in cinnamon sugar and served with honey and chocolate sauce on the side. Yummy! They came out hot and ready to eat. Best part of the meal. Waitress was nice and restaurant clean and not very busy. Will go back just for the sopapillas!! Restaurant has a bar area and outside seating.

Surprisingly good. Great tortillas and gaucamole and they actually use real fajita meat. For a chain restaurant it surprised me.
