Story

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made right at your table. Everything pairs nicely with a grande margarita, and of course, enjoy the always endless chips and salsa.

Was my first and my last time that I will ever go there again. I arrived with my sister at around 10pm and they close 11pm, so I was hesistant to go in at first but we were hungry and weren’t going to stop any where else. At first, there were no greeters for about 5 minutes, we were just standing there staring at people eat their food. Then we were provided menus and guided to a table where there were crumbs and napkins everywhere underneath the table. We sat and ordered our food, which was not bad, tacos were good 👌🏼 But what made the experience terrifying were the unprofessional employees. I was very uncomfortable and disgusted by the employees that work at On the border. I understand it was almost closing time but these female staff had made rude and disrespectful comments such as, quote “I will go, I will go to each table and tell them to get out because we are closing soon.” Other staff were laughing and chiming in, and some just looked pissed off at every customer that walked in after us. It’s unfortunate that such a good restaurant has such poor service and unprofessional staff, this will be the reason they shut down one day. I’m glad to say, will never go there again. It’s not just the food that make the restaurant, it’s the service and the respect of the employees as well 🙏🏼

The food was delicious. The service was terrible. We ordered our meals and although it was 11:00 , not a busy time of day, our meals took about 40 minutes to reach our table. Our server did not promptly bring the check to our table; when we got the check and paid by cc, there were 3 charges charged to my husband's card. Now my husband has to dispute 2 bogus charges on his card because of one servers incompetence. Go for the food; it's delicious, just be sure you're not on a tight schedule...and pay cash! Tip, as always, is optional!

Burnt nachos...so I originally ordered nachos..they were burnt...the manager actually went and remade them...and dear god they were perfect. Thoughtful kind service...tasty food and wonderful staff. Thanks for the remake on the nachos and the kind service. The manager was Scott. He deserves a raise :)

Terrible experience, save your time and money. I have been going here since it opened regularly. Smaller portions of food, a lack of empathy, care and respect is all you will find here. I was here two days prior to this review and everything went okay, but I will not be back after my poor customer service experience between waiting over an hour for my food to be delivered cold, it took another 15 minutes to inform my waitress, who didn’t seem to care and brought over the “GM” would didn’t apologize then walked away with my plate and 10 minutes later brought me a plate and left in a hurry.... Probably before I could tell him that they forgot to even bring my rice and beans which took another 10 minutes!!!!! Unbelievable

Very average Tex Mex restaurant. We came here to eat while watching a football game. The multiple television screens around the room made it comfortable to watch the game from any seat. Our waitress was friendly, checked up on us several times, and our food and drinks were brought out quickly. The food was subpar. I started off with the tortilla soup which was very watered down and lacked flavor. The chicken fajitas were pretty good- chicken was juicy and had a nice char on the outside. However, my fajitas were not sizzling when they arrived at my table. My boyfriend ordered a grilled chicken bowl, but was disappointed in the size of the bowl. It was smaller than a burrito bowl from Chipotle, but at a relatively higher price.
