stars for this fraudulent company. I took out a personal loan thru onemain. Was approved for 2 grand. Cool, no problem. When my first payment was due made an online payment. No issues. Looks good, right? Made my 2nd payment online and on time..no problem..or so I THOUGHT. A couple of days later I get an e-mail indicating they need additional information to process my loan app. ??? How is this possible I ask myself as my loan app was previously APPROVED and extended as well as the fact that I'm already 2 payment in. I'm at work when I get this email so I figured I'd check in after I got off just to inquire. 5 minutes later I get a call from Jacob advising the same..he needed additional info to process my loan app. So I explain to Jacob that I already HAVE a loan with them and that I hadn't applied for another. Jacob kindly puts me on hold for about 5 minutes or so while I'm at work and then comes back and asks if I recently made an online payment. I explain that I did..same day the email advised I submitted an app for a loan. I go on hold again. When Jacob returns he advises me that I "somehow, someway"applied for another loan AFTER I made that payment. I tried to explain to Jacob..that unless I suffer from advanced memory loss, I would be fully AWARE of going thru the PROCESS of filling out an application for credit. Jacob repeata that "somehow, someway" I did apply..as if by magic I suppose. From there I get Jacob's sup on the line because it was clear the "somehow, someway" was the best Jacob could do to cover the fraudulent loan app. My issue with this whole thing is due to their fraudulent loan app in my name with my info, it caused a inquiry on my credit report. I'm in the process of REPAIRING my credit and additional inquiries bring your score back down. All I needed was for Onemain to withdraw the app and report to the bureaus that they submitted the app in error. Jacob AND his sup refused to do this at which point I began the process of reporting this as fraudulent. STAY AWAY if you want to avoid wasting your time to correct THEIR fraudulent behavior
