I am a former teacher at the Ridgefield branch of Opus School of Music. (I stepped down after 5+ years to become a full-time student, pursuing my masters in piano.) Opus is a GREAT place for musicians, young and old, to hone their craft. Although most students are children and teens, it is not uncommon for adults to take lessons as well. Opus attracts high caliber teachers and supports them in giving the best to their students through a variety of performance opportunities, quality instruments and equipment, and an ever-growing music library. Rob, the owner and director, is honest, hardworking, a brilliant educator, and genuinely cares about the success of each student. The atmosphere at Opus is collaborative rather than competitive. Although each student is encouraged to strive for their personal best, everyone is very supportive and even the earliest of beginners are given performance opportunities. Though their pieces may be only seconds long, the support and encouragement is overwhelming. Many families take lessons for years. It is wonderful to see the immense progress of the students. This longevity also speaks to the quality of the instruction and experience that Opus offers. One thing that sets Opus apart from other music schools is its emphasis on bringing students together to play music in collaboration with each other. They get to play together in jam sessions, gigs, and giant concerts that make them feel like rock stars – and they love it. Opus is quite simply one of the BEST places to take lessons in the area. I HIGHLY recommend Opus School of Music.

New to Camas, fun program, great teachers, easy to enroll, clean and professional atmosphere. They give students lots of opportunities to play outside of their lessons. They have cool bands that my son loooooves. There is a place to wait inside and outside while waiting as well as across the street there is a Safeway. I can shop during my sons lessons, perfect.
