This is an itty bitty beer and wine store that recently popped up in a Greenbelt rd strip mall with a Danny's, 7/11 and Merchant tires. When its time to grab a quick little something to party for the weekends, most people I know hit up the Discount Liquors (Langway's) for a fifth of something nice or a 24 pack of something domestic. If you want a shorter line, there are plenty of other places within the vicinity. So is it really necessary for the area to have an extra beer and wine store? Well... absolutely. You see in every liquor store and restaurant in the area provides a very limited selection in beer. I've noticed that the usual has become a few domestics such as Bud, Coors or Amstel, with Heineken, Guinness and of course a Sam Adams. So where does Orbits fit in? Where everyone else stops. Their selection consists of the regular domestics, great wines, and a decent amount of micro brews along the store's right isle. This place has been a pleasant surprise the last few times I visited. Carrying hard to find beers such as Heavy Seas "Loose Cannon" IPA, Stoudt's Scarlett ESB, and Guinness's special export stout. I was so happy I got them all. The owner, Singh, who is a very nice guy, welcomed obscure, hard to find beers. He doesn't dismiss an individual's request. He enjoys getting new stuff in stock so he can have that extra edge over the competitors. Although Orbit is small, for a beer enthusiast, I can put his effort for variety up there with Rip's on 301.
