A 1,000+ acre park with a nature center and hiking trails.
The Oregon Ridge Nature Center Council, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer corporation created to support the Oregon Ridge Nature Center and Park. Council members work with the staff of the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks to provide programs for the public ranging from conservation to natural history, including festivals, seasonal programs, topical seminars, and trail walks. The Council provides funds for exhibits, displays, personnel, supplies, and for scholarships. Members of the ORNC Council are the first to receive our seasonal calendars and newsletters and are eligible for discounts on programs and on some gift shop items. To join the Council or to donate visit our web site at www.OregonRidgeNatureCenter.org/join.php .
Provide engaging educational and recreational opportunities in nature that will instill a sense of wonder, promote environmental stewardship, and create a lasting legacy of positive choices in our own backyards, Maryland, and the Chesapeake Bay.
