Extremely nice for group camping, with great shade and huge spaces.  Lots of hikes.  But limited activities make it a less than ideal destination for small family style camping.

Horrific the people that live there were so nice.but the owner lady or manager was the rudest most unprofessional  ( UGLY ) REALLY the way my kids and myself were treated.ill never go back. Waste your hard earned money anywhere other than there....

This park had great neighbors. What they don't tell you until after you move in is there is dangerous amounts of uranium, arsenic, and nitrates IN THE WATER SUPPLY. You cannot drink the water, or use it for cooking. I didn't like using it to shower but I had no choice. You have to buy water for cooking, and drinking. Which you have to buy down the mountain if you don't want to be charged an arm and a leg. Sure trailers are cheap but it's not worth the health risk. Additional there are bark beetles that eat the inside of the trees hallow, which they do not cut down in time. Property has had trees fall down onto them almost injuring tenants.

I visited Ortega Oaks with my family today. The manager Karry Landers was very rude. The campground was dirty and ran down. I would recommend going somewhere else To camp like Bluejay 3 miles up the road  East towards Lake Elsinore just after the fire station at El Cariso make a left at Bluejay (north main divide) or right to the off road vehicle campground at south main divide,  or Caspers Park west towards San Juan Capistrano. The bathrooms are disgusting, I think they are way overpriced, and the manager is very rude. I would strongly suggest not camping or renting at Ortega Oaks RV Park and campground.
