Lots of nature around and all the people are nice including the rangers. There’s a wide variety of things to do here and it’s all very pretty. However when I went, it was apparently this moth-caterpillar season and literary every step you took there was at least 3 hairy caterpillars moving across the path faster than you can walk. For some reason these hairy creatures didn’t seem to be much of a problem for the locals who live in the area. Otherwise you should check this place out when it’s not caterpillar season.

One of the best state parks in florida. I have been all the way around the coast of Florida and seen some nice parks. But this has everything. From many hiking trails long and short. Biking trails. Canoeing. Lake with beach for swimming and of course so much more Defiantly recommend for RV stays

We walked on the Lester Finley and South Creek nature trail today. Lovely walk through pine, Palm and saw palmetto forests along the South Creek waterway. Previously we walked the scrub Jay trail which is much more scrubby with hardly any trees. Particularly if it's warm out, the trails we did today would be much more enjoyable because of the shade afforded by the trees.

Such a wonderful weekend at the park. The trails are awesome with so much to see. Saw plenty of scrub jays, gopher tortoises, skunks, and snook. The staff are wonderful as well as the camp hosts. I seriously cannot wait to go back!

There doesn't seem much to see here, except the bald eagles, which can only be seen from a distance (that part of the trail is closed so as not to infringe on them). The trails are mostly sandy, so not the best for biking, but there doesn't seem to be any other (non-road bike) trails in the area; the Legacy Trail runs through the park, but it is a completely paved (road bike) trail. $4 for parking seems steep.
