The service there is a bit fast. The downside of this place is the employees. 80% of them have attitudes. Most of them sound miserable. Especially the lady with the bowl haircut. I don’t see why I have to schedule an appointment to make a payment. I just come here because it’s close to my house and more convenient. The employees need to lighten up.

I recommend going there around 4pm. I’ve done it the past two times and The crowds are way less , the service is fairly quick and painless. Staff gets the job done without being rude.

Prior to leaving early from work, I went on the website to verify hours and location. Per the website the office is open Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. I arrived to the pleasant Hill location at 3:45pm. The lobby did have patrons waiting but was far from packed. I pulled a number from the deli counter like ticket machine 592. The number on the digital currently being served sign was 575. Upon sitting down I noticed various Word document signs taped to the walls stating All Drivers License services were by appointment. This is not mentioned at all on the website. I was not getting or renewing my license. I did not need to make any changes to my license either. I merely needed to pay a fee that had not been taken care of at the clerk of the court office. Because of the aforementioned signs I went to the counter to ask about paying the fee. The security guard reiterated that ALL DL services needed to have an appointment. I explained to him that information was not on the website and I had left work early based on the hours and information (or lack thereof) posted. He then told me since I had a number I could wait to talk to someone about the appointment. As each clerk yelled out ( literally yelled as there is no speaker system) the next number to be waited on, I noticed that it was moving quite swiftly due to many people had left prior to their number being called. By the time my number was called it was about 4:25pm. The only patrons in the office was myself, a couple, and another young man whom were already being assisted by other clerks. I went to the counter and explained to a very pleasant young lady named Tiffany about my need to simply pay a fee. She stated in order to take my money I would need to make an appointment to come back another day. I explained that I had already left work early today and would be much appreciative if I could take care of this today. She apologized and stated she wouldn't be able to. She offered me an appointment for 9:45am (go into work late) or 4:00pm ( leave work early again). I asked if I could speak to a supervisor to get approval to take care this today. She directed me to a woman and a man and explained to them that I would like to speak to them. Both of the supervisors stated they were helping other customers and would be a while. I agreed to wait. After about 15 minutes and while the couple was signing some paperwork. I explained to the woman my situation of only needing to pay a fee. I asked if she would give Tiffany, who was patiently waiting as well, permission to take my money. She then began to give one excuse after another as to why I could not make the payment today. No access to Drivers License system after 4(meanwhile I was offered a 4pm appointment for the next day). The 4 workers (none of which had patrons) must be out the door by 5pm. Even with the 15 minutes I had waited for acknowledgement from the supervisors, it was still about 10 minutes to 5pm. She then went on to say that they had attempted to help other patrons previously and their issue had taken more time. I asked if she would just give Tiffany ( still patiently waiting) permission to try I would be much appreciative. The female supervisor ( sorry her name tag was located where it couldn't be read, so I didn't catch her name) killed any chance of customer service and told me to either get in line at 7:30am at the larger office (where I guess no appointment is needed) or take the 9:45am or 4pm appointment for the next day. I did turn back to Tiffany who scheduled an appointment for 9:45am. Tiffany was visibly frustrated and went as far as to ask for my social security number to verify what I needed (again just to swipe my debit card and pay this darn fee). She was extremely apologetic and I could see how much she wanted to help. It is that desire from Tiffany that allows me to believe that customer service is not completely dead. But I'm sad to say at the Osceola Tax Collectors office on Pleasant Hill, customer service is definitely a lost art.

Everyone here is exceptionally nice! The staff managed a large crowd of folks Tuesday morning after Memorial Day 2017 without a hitch. They make what could be a nuisance trip at the tax office as pleasant as possible. Thank you!

Almost everyone was very respectful, efficient and nice, except for a woman named Johanna, which was the person that unfortunately handled most of my drivers license renewal. From the moment I reached her counter after my name was called, she had a very rude and condescending attitude and tone of voice, constantly rolling her eyes and raising her eye brows as if I had said or done something wrong to her. Even when I said good morning to her, her response was a dry, short toned and obviously insincere "what can I help you with" with a nasty attitude and look on her face. She even threw a pen on the counter in 2 different occasions for me to sign, instead of placing the pen on the paper, which surprised me the most about the whole situation. She also tried to make me believe that the multiple documents that I provided were not enough, nor appropriate proof of my social security number and address, which was not true because I brought more documents than what was required. When I clarified to her that the documents met and exceeded all the requirements, her unprofessional attitude got even worse but she had no other option but to do her job because she probably realized that I was not going to let her abuse her authority and I was going to bring it to her attention if she continued. It is sad and unfortunate that unpleasant and unprofessional people like her, get a chance and a position to provide a public service but they abuse their privilege and authority. I want to emphasize that the rest of the staff in that office was very pleasant, professional and efficient, including the Security Officer and the other 2 female clerks sitting on both sides next to Johanna. I hope she improves her condescending and rude attitude or that they replace her with someone that doesn't abuse authority and shows kindness and respect for others. Best wishes to all. Nabil
