Amazingly fresh food which is prepared and cooked right in front of you in the open kitchen.  Watching the torched tuna being made by the Chef is a must see. They offer unique wine based cocktails that paired really well with the food. Great service and friendly staff. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Amazing new addition to the neighborhood! I'm working my way through the menu and EVERYTHING is excellent. The wine is super tasty too. The owners are great people with great staff and service. Sit at the bar to meet some of the hilarious locals. Great outdoor seating too! Perfect for after work, a date or whatever!

Kips Bay in general lacks a proper seafood joint, till now. Chef Mike and his wife front of house are killing it.  The oyster selection is amazing and legit. The lobster roll is light a fresh and the ceviche is bountiful. Oyster shooters in gazpacho?!?! Yes please!!!!  Wine list has great options to choose from.  All in… the place is jumping.

Ostrica is the best new addition to Kips Bay/Murray Hill in a long time. We've been several times already! It's an elevated-but-casual gathering spot, with Foodie-level food! Chef Mike is a proper chef/artist who *only* makes delicious food, and always makes it unique. The management team at Ostrica has assembled a fantastic, sharp, friendly staff who make you feel welcome and well taken care of. It's our new favorite place to go for fresh seafood, tasty cocktails, and a comfortable, grown-up vibe.

The talented folks behind VinoTapa have done it again! Ostrica’s decor is casual and classy while their menu includes some unexpected gems including a delicious Waygu Crab Dog and refreshing oyster shooters our first time. Everything we ordered was fresh and exceptional. The friendly and attentive staff completed our all around fantastic experience. If I could add more stars, I would. It’s a must dine!

Such a great addition to the neighborhood! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, and the portions were great for a light dinner. We tried the oysters both east and west which is amazing because some places just have options from one region and the table shared the bean salad which was probably my favorite shareable dish. I also had the Tuna sandwich which was also incredibly delicious.  I wish they had French fries on the menu because I couldn’t help but crave them while we all picked at the food sometimes the perfect pairing to fresh seafood is a warm bowl of salty fries  Definitely adding to my list of neighborhood favorites!

Watch out for happy hour pricing... We ordered oysters within the 5-8pm “happy hour” and they told us the oysters weren’t included when it was time for the bill. It would’ve been great to know that up front obviously since it wasn’t clear in the menu or noted and we left feeling ripped off. The food was good, but definitely more of a happy hour spot then full dinner.

Great new addition to the neighborhood. The oysters are fresh and delicious and so are the appetizers. They also have a nice choice of wines. Highly recommend for happy hour or a casual dinner!

We looove ostrica! Another hit in kips bay. Great happy hour, spritzes, and unique food menu, all super fresh. The Gazpacho is my favorite!!
