The Ohio State University's Urban Arts Space is a 10,000 sq.-ft. exhibition and non-traditional performance space located in the heart of downtown Columbus, between the Columbus Commons and the Scioto Mile, inside the historic Lazarus Building. Founded in 2008, the Space showcases work by local, national, and international artists.
Through free public exhibitions, programs, performances, and events, the Space offers hands-on experiences in the arts and professional development opportunities for Ohio State University students and faculty, and the community. Programs include poetry readings, film and video screenings, crafts, children’s activities, art making classes for adults and students, lectures, artist talks, exhibitions, receptions, tours, and more.
