My mother had been at this facility since January 2017. My mother is in the beginning stages of dementia and has been on a slow decline for a number of years. When first bringing her for respite on weekends they were going to local plays and having arts and crafts. But not any longer. Not many residence there for her to have a decent conversation with. Her sheets hadn't been changed since that January. It is now end of March. Only till I asked and brought her personal sheets did this get done. I was under the impression that residence's rooms were cleaned and vacuumed regularly, but were not. Group activities were regularly cancelled if only one or two people showed interest. Should be made available to the two residence who want to stay active. Not enough programs there to keep those with dementia active. Staff is changing a lot and it's hard to keep track of who is actually the administrative staff. They don't offer transportation services for those who need to get to the doctor or those who want to go on outings. My other concern is I had already taken my mother out for lunch and staff saw me leave with her, but received a call two hours later verifying that "yes" my mother was with me. Not a good place unless your loved one is in end stage dementia.
