Got a hamburger for lunch. Was surprised to get diced lettuce and diced onions, very thin tomato. I expect better than that on a $10 hamburger. Lettuce should be a nice sized leaf or two, onions should be sliced not diced. Tomato should be sliced a bit thicker. I mentioned this to the waiter, who shrugged "that's just how Outback does it". Carl's Jr or Wendy's do much better with the burger toppings, at a fraction of the cost!

Outback started life as a pretty good place. A dozen or so years later, it's beginning to impress me less and less. I understand that it's a family restaurant, but why should a mid-50-something couple be seated next to 4 other tables with children 6 and under? We're already grandparents, looking for a break. The server (that title hardly fits when the only food she brought was the bread, and iced tea) spent more time trying to be cute and witty than accurately taking our order. The order, by the way, did include iced tea, which she promptly forgot about. The salads have inexplicably shrunk, and the bowls they're served in came to us right out of the dishwasher. The quality of my wife's steak was average. My coconut shrimp were greasy and way over-breaded. Our baked potatoes and the bread were quite good, though. We were there on a Tuesday night, so maybe the "B" crew was on...but I'm not so sure. I used to look forward to a trip to Outback, but that anticipation now seems a little wasted. I'm sure I'll go back, but it'll be with an attitude of "let's see how they do this time. If it continues this way, Outback Steakhouse might not be long for this world.

I don't know why I keep buying Outback gift cards and keep trying this location ever so often. After the visits, I always tell myself never to return again. Years ago, this location cooked perfect steak to order. The last several years, we always order medium rare steaks and never receive them the way we order. Steaks are always overcooked 1-2 levels longer than they should. Everything is super salty. The only enjoyable part of the meal is the bushman bread and the house salad. On our most recent visit, our baked potatoes were dried shriveled up wrinkly mess. They were obviously not freshly baked potatoes and looked reheated from day(s) ago. Send the food back to the kitchen rather than silently complaining, you say. Do I send the food back and have to wait in hunger for another 20 minutes? Do I risk having staff taint my meal? Putting it in writing this time. NEVER GOING TO OUTBACK again! This franchise owner obviously doesn't care about this restaurant.

Two times I've been there and I didn't like the experience. First time the waiter was really rushy at putting the check, I did barely start to eat my main dish. He keeps printing and printing the bill again and again because we were keeping ordering (dessert, drinks...) and pushing the bill again and again. It was not a peak day. Second time the food was way way too salty, orders arrived completely separated to the point that people had to start eating to not get cold food. People talk good about the place but I've yet to experience the best that Outback has to offer.

Service is always good and wait staff pleasant. Manager usually checks in on you as well. My kids love the chocolate thunder from down under which is a warmed up brownie with ice cream, whip cream, and chocolate sauce. Get the sample size. The regular size is enough to share between four people.
