If you're looking for hiking and camping gear within Estes Park proper this is the place. The front of the store is more tourist, the back is gear, shoes, and Columbia clothing. Great customer service. I got the wrong size of a jacket and was able to swap it for the right without any issues. Great stock of sizes and options.

Bought a pair of Oboz hiking shoes here during a recent trip to RMNP.  Shoes fit fine in the store, but immediately began wearing blisters on my heels and toes during my hike the next day.  I have worn Merrells for years with no issues.  When I attempted to take them back for a return or exchange, no luck. So buyer beware. The store wouldn't stand behind the shoe and it doesn't sound like Oboz will either.  I will go back to buying Merrells from online retailers that stand behind their product.

My husband and I went in here twice while on a trip to RMNP. Both times the employees were rude and seemed to be put off by helping us. My husband planned to buy some boots and the employee was too concerned with making us feel like we didn't know anything about the outdoors and the boot brand he loved than he was about helping us buy a pair of boots.  We walked out of there disgusted.
