This is Estes Park's Original Salt Water Taffy shop! We make all of our taffy in the shop by hand, year round, as we have since 1935. Join generations of loyal customers that make The Taffy Shop their first stop when they come to Estes Park. This is one of the oldest continuously operating businesses in Estes Park, and along the front range- step inside and step back in time to a friendly family run business with a world famous recipe loved by thousands across the globe.

Established in 1935. In 1934, Lowell Slack started selling a new recipe for Salt Water Taffy to tourists in Fort Collins. Encouraged by a friend to take his business to Estes Park, Mr Slack opened The Taffy Shop in 1935, in the same building it is in today. Using the same recipe, and original equipment, the taffy is just as good as you remember it when you visited with your grandparents on a trip to Estes Park- as many other have also experienced. There is no comparison to The Original! Look for the white building with the white and blue sign hanging above the broad glass frontage, with a taffy puller in the front of the store, and the original Model K- Kiss cutter and wrapper churning out taffy every day. It is the only store in Estes Park that you can see taffy being made in the store.
