I contacted Over The Top Roofers to give me a quote on my roof damage from Hurricane Irma. We lost a singles in two locations on our roof. One was very minor and the other had a few rows missing. Anyways, they contacted me back and scheduled a visit. They looked at the damage while I was not home so I did not get to speak to them. I received the quote which I thought was pretty high for the little bit of damage. The quote had one line for that total with the description “Replace all missing/damaged shingles, clean and dispose of debris”. The following is the email excerpt that followed: Me to them “Jim, Thank you for taking time out of your day to inspect and quote me for our roof work. I will be honest though it is a lot more than what I expected for how small the area is. Can you please provide a breakdown of how that cost was determined? Thank you.” Them back to me “Good morning, Mr. (last name), Jim has advised the following in reference to your question below. Time, materials, insurance and license is the breakdown.” Me to them “Maybe I was not specific enough by breakdown. I am interested to know how much is the material cost? How many man hours are you estimating for labor and what is the cost per hour? How much are you charging for the insurance and license portion? Thank you.” Them to me “Mr (last name). When you pull thru McDonald’s and order a burger do you ask for the breakdown of the labor and pickle cost. It’s a very good price. (From Jim)” Me to them “Wow...Well I am just trying to make sure I am getting "a very good price" since it is much higher than I expected. I thought this was a reasonable request but since you are unwilling I will not proceed with having you complete the work. Thank you for your time. “ Them to me “Your Welcome” I am still shocked by the reply I got and cannot believe a company would treat potential customers like that. Clearly they must not be hurting for work. So I leave it up to you to decide if you want to do business with a company that only cares about your money and not you as a customer, because it does not seem like Jim is going to be your buddy.

They were great!. They did the job at the rate they said. They called the week before to verify. They were very courteous and honest about the shape of my roof. It only needed a patching job. They were very easy about scheduling as I changed it 3 times.They are both honest and trustworthy. A trait many businesses are not. Their service stands out as most awesome!

The rainy season will soon be on us and its time to think of a quality roofer. I've been very happy with Leon and Over the Top Roofers. Quality work at a very reasonable price. Weather affects their work and they keep you informed on any schedule changes. Give them a call and see what they can do for you. If i have any roof problems, I'll be calling Over the Top Roofers.

I had a really bad experience with Mr Jim ,he was very rude on the phone when I called him ,i was just trying to return a phone call and he was extremely rude on the phone, because I call him twice ,even know he may not represent the face of the entire company I stil believe he is part of it ,and he should act like a professional and not behave in such a way. Again this may not reflect the entire work ethic of this company but an individual person .

The team at Over the Top Roofers were a pleasure to work with, did a great job and I highly recommend them for your roofing needs. The price was a little higher than some roofers but the warranty and service they provide is well worth the peace of mind that if any issues arise, they will be taken care of professionally. Our family feels safe under their roof!
