Overland Park Elementary bulldogs are a great group of students, staff, and parents! We work hard to follow the school ABCs - Active listening, Best effort, Care for property, Deep-down kindness, Extreme safety.

Story

Overland Park Elementary has been serving the families in historic Overland Park for over 130 years. We have recently moved into a beautiful new facility which is our seventh building in that long history.

We proudly serve the families of downtown OP. We are honored to have three and four generation families who have lived and learned in this community for several years. In addition, we welcome many new families into our community each year. As a result, we are a warm and friendly community who values the role of the school in bringing people together to learn, celebrate and share good times.

As a part of the Shawnee Mission School District, we share a tradition of excellence. Our curriculum is both rigorous and developmentally appropriate. Our instruction is geared to both challenge and support students as they work toward mastery of basic skills and higher order understanding of concepts and content. Most importantly, we believe that all students have unlimited potential for learning. We are here to help each student achieve their best.
