Story

For more than a decade, School of Rock has been inspiring kids to rock on stage and in life. Founded as a single school in Philadelphia, PA in 1998, School of Rock has become a growing international franchise, operating over 100 schools all over the world, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, The Philippines, and more.

This place is amazing. My 10 son started playing drums and went from a beginner to playing Metallica in a year. My daughter has been in the program for two year and has excelled in both voice and guitar. The staff is beyond amazing and the kids are so supportive of one another.

My 11 yr old just completed her first summer camp at The School and we've already enrolled her in another camp AND the Spring session! What we like most is that the students learn music through immersion, so she gets the opportunity to learn a variety of instruments, enrich her vocals, and learn to PERFORM! She was easily bored with school choir and in-home music instruction; it didn't ignite her passion for music. In just one week at The School, she not only learned some guitar techniques, but she strengthened her vocals, learned to write songs, and got to perform - everything she wanted to do!And I can't say enough about the friendly and knowledgeable staff - everyone we came in contact with was terrific. Special shout-out to my daughter's camp instructor, Casey. He's phenomenal. He tapped into each student and met them where THEY were - then challenged them to do and be more. He brought together 8 students of different ages and skill levels, and turned them into a band; my daughter says all the kids had fun and worked really well together. Casey gots some serious skills!Basically, this place is awesome - even better than I expected. I just wish it had been around when I was a kid!😉

My son loves the other students, teachers, and atmosphere of SOR. Even though he's still a beginner and his peers are more advanced, he feels needed and that he has a purpose amongst his peers.
