Story

Our main veterinarian and owner of Pacific Pet Hospital, Dr. Ken Upton, has been a veterinarian for 27 years and have practiced at the hospital for 14 years. Pacific Pet Hospital has been serving the Chula Vista community for 40 years. Our veterinary team treats every client as family and every pet as our own. We offer full veterinary services, such as vaccination, spays and neuters, internal medicine and surgery, microchipping, digital x-rays, teeth cleaning and dental procedures, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, in-house blood work, early morning drop-offs, boarding, and more! Pacific Pet Hospital is amazing! They do their jobs exceptionally well, especially for such an affordable price. I'd specifically recommend vet tech Terry (my favorite cat lady!) and Dr. Humphrey.

Dr.Ken Upton is the best!Terry Grey is pretty awesome too! Well, all staff is great! We've been loyal patients for 12 years.
We bring our dog Sarah and our cat Zoey here because they consistently treat our animals like their own  with love, care, concern and compassion.  We won't go anywhere else!!!!

This was a first time visit, and I had great service for my kitty who I rescued from the street.  The vet examined her carefully, and suggested what her needs were, it was a very comfortable visit.

My story is kind of a long one. Keep reading if your interested. But if you want a quick summary, dr Humphrey and dr upton are the best, their staff at pacific pet hospital are amazing, reliable, they are the only ones I trust with my dogs.  I had a boxer about 25 years ago that I used as a jogging partner/security dog. One day he wasn’t able to walk on his leg....I was fortunate to find dr upton that fixed his leg surgically and we had many many more years of jogging together. Fast forward 25 years later and my large litter of pups had a nasty tail infection. I was so impressed with how quickly they were able to squeeze all of the pups into surgery. I also had one pup,that I thought might be blind.....at my appointment with dr Humphrey he mentioned I might want to observe for hearing loss as well. After we went home I observed this pup more and it turns out she was deaf. The pup found a great home with this knowledge. Dr Humphrey and dr upton have proved time and time again they are the best. I just can’t believe I was so lucky to find dr upton after all these years and now have found dr Humphrey. Their staff is outstanding. I’ve read other reviews that complained about long wait times....I haven’t experienced this. For me, a little wait time is no problem knowing my pets are being seen by the best vets out there. They are not a “drive through” vet office. They take their time with you and your pet.
