Stopped in for dinner. The place was very clean and well lit. The waitress was very nice and took our order promptly. I ordered the hot sausage rolls as I used to order these when they had a previous restaurant in Oak Hill years before. They were still spot on, baked perfectly. The sausage was cooked just right not overly dry or greasy and the nice mix of peppers, banana peppers, and onions they stuff around the sausage in the roll were fresh and not soggy or dried. I do recommend this place if you're in the area. Features: There are no restrictions at this time for covid.
This is a great spot for great Italian cuisine. The portions are more than generous, and the waitstaff is friendly and efficient. We have dined there twice, and will definitely return
I ordered Fettuccine with Clams and Marinara Sauce, while my parents ordered the Lasagna and Baked Spaghetti. Their meals were fine, and I’m told they’re good, however, my meal had a few issues. First of all, they accidentally made it with chicken, instead of clams, so it took a few more minutes to get to the next issue. After “fixing” it, i was presented with a chicken and two clams creamy fettuccine, instead of marinara. The server then took it back, to further add to the already mostly full platter, where the creamy sauce was mixed with a low content of marinara sauce. The only good thing that I can say is that the garlic bread was good. However, this was just my experience; I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good Italian food, even though my experience was bad. I am willing to give it a second try next time I’m in the area.
The pizza is very good. I’d be glad to go back for that. It had a good crust on it as well.

Went here for the first time tonight. The only complaint I have, is that it's located in WV, and not VA where we live. Hubby had the baked spaghetti. I had fettuccine Alfredo. Both of us chose the garlic bread as our side. The portions were HUGE. Everything was AMAZING, including the fried cauliflower. We'll be back for sure, when we're in the area! If y'all haven't eaten here yet, YOU'RE MISSING OUT!
8-3-2021 - Came back again and the food was again absolutely wonderful for the exception of the garlic bread and it was burnt and hard. Disappointed in that. The server I forgot his name but was not a good server at all. His service as a server disappointing in how he handled things and done things. One thing he brought out the wrong drink to my boy and supposed to have been a Pepsi. He said we don't offer Pepsi. But yet that what was ordered. I ask him what it was and he didn't even know what it was. There was a lot of other things like that that he done that was poor as a server, very disappointed in him. Moving my rating from a 5 to 4 just due to that service. Nothing against the this establishment due to this service but needs corrected. I wish I could rememberhis name. 12-20-2020 - I stopped in again with my little boy and a friend. Another awesome meal, great job. 7-15-2019 I stop by to try a pizza for the first time. My little man wanted just a cheese pizza. Again the service and the pizza was great. 7-9-2019 I always stop in here when I come to the Beckley area. Food here is great and so is the service.
My first time we came as a family. We decided to sample a little bit of everything to give this place an honest shot. We ordered a ham and pineapple calzone, shrimp scampi, fried cauliflower, fried pickles, lasagna, side orders of meatballs and sausage and lobster ravioli. The calzone was almost perfect. The bread was delicious and "more than courteous" amounts of cheese. Pineapple was not flavorful but I wouldn't hesitate to order another. The ravioli was great. The lasagna was some of the best around, again lots of cheese! The garlic bread was spot on and I understand why everyone rants about it so much. The fried appetizers were good and pretty much what you expect them to be. I will comment though on how flavorful the ranch was and I am not a ranch person so take that with a grain of salt. The sausage I will pass on but the meatballs were by far my favorite! They melt in your mouth and have no chewys or bones like others I've had. Pretty much my overall synopsis of the place is a go too for sure restaurant! I would get a calzone with meatballs for my ultimate entree.
Food was good but they messed up our order and the girl running the register wasn't happy to be there and you could tell. Rolled her eyes everytime the phone rang, talking bad about customers as soon as they walked out. I would put her in the back not representing my business.
Delicious pizza on amazing crust! Tasty sauces in on the pizza and the stuffed shells pasta. We’ll come back next time we visit Winterplace.Recommended dishesWhite Pizza, Topping Pizzas, Lasagna
